Joe Fresh announces $1-million investment into Canada’s Fashion Future

It is not easy making it in the fashion industry as a young creative. Luckily, founder of Joe Fresh, Joe Mimran has teamed up with Ryerson University to create the Joe Fresh Centre for Fashion Innovation. The best part? Applications are open to anyone over 18 9with a prototype or business plan. Narrowed down in an evaluation process by the panel at Joe Fresh, Ryerson, Canadian business and media this new centre will open doors for the new generation of creative minded leaders. The partnership will include Digital Media Zone, part of Ryerson’s network supporting 21 of the country’s up and coming fashion inspired businesses over one 18-month period.

With an evidently successful empire that Joe Mimran has created at Joe Fresh, stepping down recently at his company and venturing off into new directions keeps getting better. The recent announcement of L'ORE'AL FASHION WEEKMimran joining the board of Dragons on CBC’s Dragons Den to help new up and coming entrepreneurs and now continuously working to keep Canada’s fashion industry booming – Mimran is injecting his knowledge into mentorship programs that will benefit the next wave of innovators.

The first wave of young creators will be accepted into the Joe Fresh Centre for Fashion Innovation this September.
