Top Model Brings ‘Video Selfies’ to the Runway During LFW

Giles Deacon creates much attention to his A/W 2014 collection which included models of the moment, Cara Delevingne, Kendall Jenner and Jourdan Dunn. Working with P&G fabric care, Deacon created looks consisting of many machine-washable pieces continuing to improve of his desire to change the landscape of clothing care. The collection consisted of knit beanies, unique prints and a stand-out black dress embellished with hundreds of little black and white beetle beads.

“ I never have one specific muse, I much prefer the idea of lots of different fantastic characters and characteristics. From a visual perspective, I was interested in the melancholy of nature viewed through a technological mindset.” – Giles Deacon on his A/W 2014 collection.

The Giles Deacon girl is definitely one to turn heads and flaunt confidence. Deacon translated the brands personality into his show, which consisted of many well thought out elements. As if top model, Delevingne has not already set new standards for models, she now takes the crown for ‘first runway selfie’. With 4.4 million followers on Instagram, Delevingne showcased the Giles Deacon fashion show to her entire fan base.

Not only did the show receive unique coverage and extreme buzz, but yet again, Delevingne set another fashion first. Typical tongue-out and goofy commentary during the video, Delevingne was multi-tasking while strutting down the runway. By adding this extra flare to his show, Deacon gave viewers around the world an up-close and personal look of what it is like on the runway.
