NICHE MAGAZINE EMERGING DESIGNER SPONSORSHIP – VFW
For the second time, NICHE fashion magazine is searching for an Emerging Designer to sponsor and show at Vancouver Fashion Week. To be eligible, you must be a B.C fashion designer and you must be able to design and create create and present an 8-16 piece collection.

Total Sponsorship Value: $15,000
CHOSEN EMERGING DESIGNER WILL SHOW AN 8-16 PIECE SPRING/SUMMER 2015 COLLECTION AT VANCOUVER FASHION WEEK SEPTEMBER 15-21 2014
NICHE magazine will pay for and/or provide ALL designer show fees for VFW including:
• Fitting and dress rehearsal day
• Runway show production – designer must provide a minimum of 8 looks, maximum of 16. Collection MUST be Spring/Summer 2015
• Nude and black pumps (if required)
• Dressing assistants, racks, steamers, and backstage assistants for 8-16 looks
• 8-16 runway models
• Professional hair styling and makeup for all models
• Backstage equipment including all sound and lighting
• Extensive collection, show and styling consultations with NICHE magazine’s Editor in Chief and Fashion Editor
Included Media Elements:
• Extensive live exposure leading up to the event, in partnership with The Bay Centre
• Designer listing in VFW show guide
• Designer listing, logo and bio on VFW website
• Designer and NICHE name and logo on runway big screen
• 4 Show Day passes (for friends & family)
• 10 6-Day passes (for yourself, team and/or friends/family)
• Attendance at VFW Gala with designer recognition
• Opportunity for interviews with local and international medias
• Exclusive backstage pre-show experience photography
• Professional video of runway show
• Professional photographs of runway looks (high and low resolution)
• Wrap up article on NICHEmagazine.ca website following VFW
• Exclusive 4-6 page Emerging Designers editorial spread in NICHE magazine’s Spring 2015 issue
• Extensive promotion via NICHE magazine social media network (before, during & after VFW)
NOT Included in Sponsorship Package:
• Production funds are not provided for fabric or garment production. Designer must independently create a cohesive 8-16 piece collection, ready to show in Vancouver (Sept 2014)
• Transportation to and from Vancouver Fashion Week is not arranged or funded (although designer will be given assistance and opportunity to travel with the NICHE team.
Condition and Stipulations:
• Sponsored designer will be required to sign a contract and non-disclosure agreement
• NICHE magazine will be granted exclusive rights to print editorial for the designer’s Spring 2015 collection. This excludes local media covering the show during fashion week
• Designer must be available to work with NICHE magazine team during the first two weeks of September to determine music, runway video and styling theme. This can be done remotely.
• Designer must be present in the NICHE magazine office for one day for final show consultations
• Designer must be present in Vancouver for fittings and rehearsals day
• Designer must be present in Vancouver for runway show
• Designer must be willing to collaborate with NICHE magazine on show theme, styling and back screen video
