Princess Bride Reinvented – Spring 2015 with Chloé

A light breezy essence ties a connection between collections of the season – this common thread is a modern day romanticism. Dresses and garments worthy of Buttercup from The Princess Bride have appeared from top fashion houses brining a softer gentle tumblr_ncmri0bevL1ruoqrro1_1280touch on trends for this season.

Creative Director for Chloé, Clare Waight Keller designed pure laid-back elegance for her spring 2015 collection. Simplistic silhouettes of weightless materials created a vision of bohemian royalty. Dedicated to the founder of Chloé in 1952, Gaby Aghion who recently passed at the age of 93, Keller created nothing short to her standards, but with a little adventure and serenity injected shining a new light in remembrance. Aghion had stated that Chloé is a representation of her free spirit that comes from the internal power which is evident in each collection Keller continues to put forth.

From baby doll dress, lace dresses, cut-out detailing and extreme volume hanging from spaghetti straps, the collection drifted down the runway with a breeze of confident beauty.

Many of these pieces could be easily seen on the beaches of tropical getaways or worn relaxing on a porch on a warm sunny morning. Out fits made for slower paced days, but with all the personality, Keller designs for the powerful yet romantic dreamers.
