Local Collaboration of Fashion and Charity – The East Van Cross Project

The perfect collaboration of local fashion and fundraising to give back to a charity within your community. Designer, Susan Fiedler has created the East Van Cross Project to benefit Pivot Legal Society through reproducing the iconic East Van Cross into jewelry. mini-EastVanCrossandChain-darkerFiedler is the first individual to receive full license from the City of Vancouver to take the meaningful piece of public art and manipulate it into her designs which reflect the hope and defiance that the original sculpture by Ken Lum stands for.

Designer, Susan Fiedler is a local Canadian jewelry designer and is known for her artistic talent. Recently launching different IMG_9769-3initiatives which led to her being able to use her business and art talents “for good” and support the community causes that she feels immense passion towards.

The Monument for East Van is a true statement of power and strength in the neighbourhood and $25 from each pendant sold will be going towards the Pivot Legal Society to fight for the rights of marginalized people in the community and working to create social and systematic change in the Downtown Eastside of Vancouver.

Thursday, November 13th, 7pm at Ironworks Studios in Vancouver, B.C will be the location for the first East Van Cross Pendant auctioning during the Pivot Legal Society’s annual Passion for Justice fundraising event.

The pendants are available for pre-order at www.eastvancrossproject.com and range from $175 to $325 CDN with more jewelry following in Spring 2015.
