Raf Simons, Designer of Dior chose one of the most unique locations to showcase his Cruise 2016 collection. Set in the French Riviera, Palais Bulles or also known as Bubble Palace was the home to French Couturier and Fashion Designer, Pierre Cardin. This futuristic bubble home was built by Hungarian Architect, Antti Lovag from 1979-1984. With Simons bringing a modern and futuristic approach to his work for Dior, this location seems to be the perfect fit for the show to enhance the mood of the garments.

Space-age windows and rounded entrance ways make this home a must-see location on the seaside of the Riviera. Simons also brings a historic element forth by choosing this venue as Cardin worked alongside Dior founder, Christian Dior from 1946. Christian Dior also had a connection with the South of France as he discovered and purchased a majestic nine-bedroom home, La Colle Noire, in the village of Montauroux, where he entertained friends and family. According to industry sources, Dior recently purchased this location once again – are we seeing Simons digging back to the Dior roots and reviving the legacy with a new innovative modern spin?
