Spring 2015- Designers Show Their True Colours and Connect to the Consumer

More than ever- it’s evident that designers are trying to focus on the roots and pure esthetic of their fashion house and what draws in their target consumer. With an oversaturated market and a somewhat sense of lost intimacy within connections, customers search for a void to fill and a relationship with the clothes they wear to show not only their current mood and global mood, but personality also.

One man that seemed to always hit – home and leave a lasting impression with each collection was Oscar de la Renta (stay tuned for our feature on tumblr_nbqn8kFfaO1r9y7i5o1_500Oscar de la Renta in our upcoming Spring issue of NICHE) – who recently passed away and learned over his long design career that putting the customer first is always the most important. In the end everyone wants something to admire and connect with- for some that may be fashion as the industry truly does have a spot for everyone.

Karl Lagerfeld showcased a feminism movement for his Spring collection for Chanel. Connecting the consumers that stand for power and strength, this show seemed to not only have stunningly artisitc garments, but a connection that some women are looking to find on a global scale- rocking revamped Chanel tumblr_ncpzl5lZXq1r79qbvo1_1280aesthetic clothing doesn’t hurt either.

Simons reinvented Dior’s playful attributes that are fit for the classic woman who loves a fun twist. Side slit tops, cinched waists and balloon skirts were all the targeted points on bringing to the modern Dior forefront.

Erdem Moralioglu’s spring line was injected with a subtle sensuality of natures beauty. Fit for the wanderlust women of the world amazed with natures offerings- Erdem sprouted from the tumblr_nc5hjqo54O1r5n9x4o1_500most beautiful valley with breezy embriodery taking women on the escape journey they have only dreamed of.

Creative Director for Lanvin, Alber Elbaz took his consumer to a world of wonderment and depth. Sleek long gowns graced the runway – colours seem to speak louder than attributes as Elbaz reached the artistic woman who sees the detail within moments. tumblr_nci38tI5jF1r08l9jo1_1280

Which ever fashion personality you may be drawn to, spring 2015 highlighted the diversity that the industry has to offer.
