NICHE Goes to Tiffany & Co. Holiday Luncheon

It is an elegant affair that happens but once a year. It always takes place in the most stunning of locations and the invitations are coveted. The annual Tiffany & Co. Holiday Press Luncheon took place on Wednesday November 27, 2013 at The Private Residences at Hotel Georgia. NICHE magazine was fortunate enough to receive two of the thirty invitations, because of our extensive print coverage of Tiffany & Co. in our Holiday 2013 issue – as our featured FASHION LEGEND as well as included in our exclusive GLITTER GUIDE

During the initial meet-n-greet, an impressive array of hors d’oeuvres were offered, along with champagne and a delicious non-alcoholic cocktail. We had an opportunity to ogle over jewellery that was on display for our viewing pleasure and network with other media representatives that were present.

As we took our places at carefully set round tables, guests were greeted by Anthony Ledru (formerly of Cartier and who just joined Tiffany & Co. six months ago). This dashing and dapper Frenchman eloquently shared the company’s appreciation for the ongoing media support of the Tiffany & co brand, and talked momentarily about the company’s successes in Canada.

The luncheon was fully attended, and the meal was catered by Chef David Hawksworth and his culinary team from Hawksworth Restaurant (main floor at Hotel Georgia). The menu consisted of a sublime butternut squash soup that featured brilliant bacon nuggets, followed by delicious Maple Hills chicken with crispy rice and kumquat and citrus, and dessert was a perfectly prepared fondant wrapped cake.

My personal thanks for the most perfect afternoon to our hosts:

  • Wendy Eagan, Group Vice President Tiffany & Co. Canada
  • Anthony Ledru, Senior Vice President, Tiffany & Co. North America
  • Rob Ferguson, Group Director, Tiffany & Co. Canada West
  • The ever lovely Annabelle Hawksworth and her fabulous team at Hawksworth Communications

Is there anything more wonderful than an afternoon spent in exceptional company, and surrounded by the blue and white ethos that is Tiffany & Co? I don’t think so…
