NICHE magazine, BC’s most sought after source for everything fashion and lifestyle, is searching for an experienced, highly creative FASHION EDITOR to join the NICHE team. Our ideal candidate is fascinated by fashion, understands the pulse of the industry, enjoys challenging trends and loves pushing the boundaries of popular couture culture. NICHE magazine is currently based on Victoria, BC.
POSITION OVERVIEW:
Reporting directly to the Editor in Chief, the Fashion Editor will be responsible for guiding the fashion content of the publication(s). This includes planning and producing fashion shoots, working with writers, designers, suppliers, creatives and boutiques, as well as building strong partnerships with photographers, stylists, and beauty professionals. The Fashion Editor will work closely with the Editor in Chief and the entire creative team to ensure the artistic vision translates to print.
The Fashion Editor will oversee creation of all fashion editorials – for all markets in which NICHE magazine is published – to ensure the NICHE brand messaging is clear, our fashion point of view is evident and our aesthetic remains distinctly fashion forward. The position also involves the critical role of mentoring interns and promising talent within the NICHE family.

Qualifications
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in the fashion industry is imperative
- Post-secondary education with a fashion focus is highly desirable
- Collaborative management style
- Effective time management and organizational skills
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Must thrive in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment
- A sense of humour is a must in this industry
